Cambodia is home to some of Asia's most endangered birds, so naturally a visit here has been on my bucket list for a long time. But the timing was actually an effect of a cancelled trip to China during the first months of the Covid pandemic. During our two weeks we were treated to great views of the rediscovered Giant Ibis, the recently described Mekong Wagtail and the critically endangered Bengal Florican among other great birds. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach the last sites on the tour due to heavy rains, but Birdtour Asia

did a great job and are highly recommended. The first 6 photos in this gallery represent some of the most wanted or unique targets on the trip. The rest are uploaded chronologically.
