Eyeball to eyeball with a Desert Horned Viper.
We made a fair amount of spotlighting after dark along the roads. The possibilities for rare mammals are numerous and there are also some good reptiles around. On two nights we found the fantastic Desert Horned Viper on the road, and they were quite cooperative with photographers.
